BCA INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Europe's largest cheer event keeps growing!

Unique three hall event !   75 competing division / rounds over 3 days, average 4.8 teams each.

Thank you for entering the 19th BCA Internationals. This year will be a major first for Europe, and probably a first outside the United States, in running a multiple competing hall cheerleading event.   This milestone move is to enable further growth not possible in a single hall arena. We reached the single hall 3 day limit in 2005.

Schedule:
This event has grown, although not by the 27% of BCA Scotland last month. This does mean that we are able to contain the main teams divisions to the Saturday and Sunday.   Cheer divisions will run 9 am to 6pm in Hall 3, Dance divisions 9 am to 6 pm in Hall 1 at the same time. Group stunt and other divisions will be on the Friday as usual.   Hall 2 will have both the warm up and practice areas, with safety floors, paramedics station, and food court.   Changing rooms are off the foyer.

Note: 7 prelim dance divisions are now Sat + Sun.   Five of these were Fri + Sun in 2007.

As usual, all cheer teams compete twice, on successive days.   Cheer results are on aggregate scores.
Dance teams will compete in prelims, with at least two thirds qualifying for finals the next day.
At least two thirds will receive trophies, up to one metre tall.

A key requirement of scheduling for multi hall competitions is to ensure that a team performing in Hall 1 will not be called to perform in Hall 3 at a similar time.   An ideal separation of 25 minutes between halls will be aimed for.

Seating & Tickets:
Total seating capacity is almost 3,500, much more than in 2007. However we do advise you to pre-book tickets as almost all BCA events now tend to sell out beforehand.
No guarantee of ticket availability for any who turn up on the day.

Schools Divisions:
By popular request schools divisions have been added, for both cheer and dance.   Schools Cheer will be up to and including level 4, the highest level entered by a schools eligible team.   School teams have been notified that roster eligibility is limited to current students of that school.

Solo’s:
Another set of divisions made popular at our two day regional competitions.   There is now some schedule space on the Friday for Solo’s, as National Champions!
  • “Due to schedule constraints, each club may enter one Solo per cheer division entered, on a first come first served basis, until all available solo schedule slots are filled.”
  • Anyone getting a 1st 2nd or 3rd place in Solo’s at Brighton, Newport or Blackpool will be offered a free bid to compete in Nationals as a solo. (Has to be the same cheerleader, non transferable)
  • Entry cost for other Telford entrants, per solo, to be £10.
Awards:
Friday divisions will have awards Friday afternoon.   Cheer & dance team divisions will have awards Sunday afternoon.
